I think every week should have a holiday. One night, besides Friday, where I can stay up as late as I want because I don't have to worry about getting up the next morning. One morning, besides Saturday, where I can sleep in as late as I want and then lay in bed for another hour watching Farscape.
Yep. That's what I did yesterday morning, and it was lovely. In general, I had a semi-productive lazy day. I laid around a lot, but I also did some laundry, picked out several outfits from my closet to take with me on vacation, went to the grocery store with the roomie, and grilled some hamburgers for dinner.
We had what I consider a truly American dinner. Hamburgers, tater tots, corn on the cob and some Mike's hard limeade. It was full of starch, and just about my favorite meal ever! Then, I was fortunate enough to have a perfect view of Lincoln's fireworks from my apartment balcony last night. Gorgeous fireworks with none of the up-close noise! Nor did I have to deal with the traffic. It was great, and the fireworks made me so excited. Apparently, I am 12 when it comes to fireworks. I kept saying "fantastic!" to no one but myself.
So that was my 4th. What I did not love were the ever-so-kind (that's sarcasm, by the way) folks who were shooting off fireworks right outside our building until nearly 1 am. Hence, Heather is a sleepy girl today. And now that I only have three working days until vacation, you can imagine how low my motivation to work is. Bleh.
Speaking of work, I better go try to do some...
