Well, I think it's been a week since I posted. A lot has happened in said week, and I need to go to bed soon, so I will post highlights of my week in bullet form. What can I say? I'm accountant. I like bullet points.
~ Spent Monday through Friday in Atlanta. Got very little sleep. Had a lot of confusing information about our new audit methodology at work crammed into my head. But overall, had a lot of cool experiences and had fun.
~ Went to Bennihana's (a Japanese steakhouse) for dinner on Wednesday night. I had filet mignon. It was incredibly yummy. I even ate quite a bit of shrimp and tried some sushi. This is very surprising because I hate seafood. But maybe I don't because I actually loved this stuff. It's something to ponder, for sure. The best part? A couple of managers went with us to dinner, so they paid for it. Thanks for the dinner, KPMG.
~ My 25th birthday was Thursday (man, I'm getting old!). On Thursday night, KPMG rented out a club in Atlanta called Club Eleven50 for a few hours. Open bar and dancing. I had a glass of wine, and then I danced for three hours. I never dance. Ever. But I danced that night...even up on stage. And it was so much fun!!!
~ Later Thursday night I very, very stupidly let several of my drunk coworkers convince me to go to another bar with them. (I hate bars...all but for a very few anyway.) We were supposed to go to a nice, quiet bar called the Tongue and Groove. But some of my guy coworkers were wearing shorts, and the bar had a dress code that didn't allow shorts. So we ended up at the bar next door called Mako's. Picture this: half naked girls on swings, half naked guys in kilts, machines that shot out toilet paper all over, half naked girls standing on the bars pouring shots down people's throats, and lots of dancing that pretty much looked like sex to me. It was absolutely disgusting. Needless to say, I stayed for about 15 minutes and then took a cab back to the hotel.
~ Oh, while waiting for a cab to go to the disgusting bar, we saw a guy on a motorcycle try to be impressive and pop a wheelie while accelerating through the intersection. His bike went one way and rolled...he went the other. Somehow, despite the smashed bike and a lot of pain, the guy got up and drove off due to his extreme embarassment. Sure, the guy was a complete idiot, but I still hope he's okay. I can't shake these nightmare-like flashbacks to watching the scene occur.
~
enigmaticblues made a birthday dinner for me on Saturday night. We had a few friends over.
The food was yummy and the time with friends was enjoyable. All in all, a great evening.
~ Today I watched a GG marathon on ABC Family and caught up on my fanfiction reading. Pretty much a perfect day. I finished betaing
shannigansx's GG story tonight. It is absolutely fantastic! I'll be pimping it big time once she starts posting, so if you're even remotely a GG fan, you better read it!! Or else.... ;-)
~ Oh, and the best news. I just upgraded to a paid LJ account with 100 icons tonight. Do I need 100 icons? No way. Do I want 100 icons? Very much so. Oh, the fun I shall have in pimping out my new paid LJ account. SQUEE! I can hardly wait.
In sad news, tomorrow is Monday. Mondays suck. Oh, and I wanted to give a special shout out to
enigmaticblues,
shannigansx,
itmustbetuesday, and
heeroahearn, all who start classes tomorrow. Here's wishing you mucho success this school year. I know you're all brilliant, so I have absolute faith that you will all do swimmingly well. Oh, and I can't forget
lauriay. Big congratulations on the new job in Steamboat Springs, CO!!

You're already pimping for me! I'm just waiting to hear back from Kelsey. After I fix anything else that needs to be fixed, I'll start posting it right away.
I'm awake for class now, and I feel like I've been hit by a truck. I'm so not looking forward to today.

And of course I'm already pimping for you. The more I pimp, the more I build the anticipation. ;-)
I hope your first day went okay!! My day was a complete and total Monday. Boo.

You are the best!!
And since this came on 7th Heaven tonight, I'm thinking it's pretty positive that we'll get at least this if not more tomorrow night. YIPPEEEE!!! Oh, it takes so little in life to make me happy.

I have to spread the GG love!
Homework be damned! There's no way I'm missing GG tomorrow night.

Of course, we all must do out part to spread the GG love. I managed to get two people hooked to GG over the summer. I consider this a very great achievement.
And, oh yes, homework be damned! I pretty much have this rule that nothing gets done on Tuesday nights.

Of course since I did nothing last night, I have a ton to read tonight. Oh well. I can do without sleep for GG!!

And I'm jealous. You know I'm going to have to get 100 icons now. Maybe just for a few months to start...
