Well, I did it. I survived my last two weeks at KPMG. And sweet Jesus, am I tired! There were several nights over the past two weeks where I only got three or four hours of sleep because I was up late working. So any minute now I am going to collapse and sleep for a long, long time.
But overall, I'm feeling very lightweight and chipper. I know that the loads of work will start all over again on Monday with the new job. But for now I plan on enjoying my weekend off to the fullest. It's been forever since I've had a weekend where I had no work to do.
Oh, and the most exciting news for the day? I bought myself a laptop! I had to turn in my KPMG laptop today, and immediately upon handing it over, I missed it. I have a PC at home (on which I'm typing this entry) that is in the guest bedroom. So I have to sit back here all alone far, far away from a TV to be on the computer. And the computer is so infested with spyware it's typically a gamble as to whether or not it's going to work. Plus, I so love being able to move around the apartment with my computer. Hence, I broke down and bought a laptop of my own. It's a Dell Inspiron 6000. Bring it on! I cannot wait until it's delivered.
OK, off I go to fall into bed now.
