So my mom called me yesterday and informed me that she would be sending me an insured package in the mail today. She wouldn't tell me what it was. Only that it was a gift my dad had received and didn't know what to do with. So they decided to send it to me, and she was sure I would love it. Well, she called me again today to tell me that she'd sent it, and that it's an I-Pod. Wait, what?!!
All I can say is, sweet!! I'll take a free I-Pod. *does happy dance*
In other news, I am so sleepy today I can hardly concentrate on anything. I should take a nap, but that would break the illusion that I'm trying to keep up for myself - the illusion that I'm actually trying to do some work from home. However, the majority of the work I planned on doing today (and all this week for that matter) needs to be done in a program called Vector (a.k.a., the bane of my existence). Well, just as I'm about to open up Vector this morning, I get an all-office e-mail from one of our managers stating something to the effect of: "Vector is down for the count. Don't even bother calling the help desk. I'm supposed to get an e-mail when it's back up, and I'll pass along the message to everyone." So, there went my ability to get much of anything done today and pretty much all motivation I had to work. Glad to see Vector is still up to its ever-crappy ways. I have yet to get an e-mail informing me that it's working once again.
And on a completely random note, I have officially managed to get one of my coworkers addicted to the Gilmore Girls. She e-mailed me today begging for my Season 3 DVD's. And yet another one bites the dust. This makes me very happy. :-)
Alright, I'm off to pretend to do some more work. Or maybe give up completely and take a nap.
PS -
shannigansx, I stole the title of this entry from something you said in one of your posts last night. Hope you don't mind - 'cause it's kind of too late if you do. ;-)

And I don't mind that you stole something from my entry, I totally stole your end of the year title :-)
Oh! No writing has been done today. I don't think that I'll have time. I was running around all day, and then Alex wanted to go shopping, when I was out with her, Kris texted me and asked if I wanted to hang out tonight. So I am (I'm going to miss GG *sniff*). But maybe I'll write some later tonight, if not, hopefully tomorrow.

Well, good. ;-)
Sounds like you had a fun day! Good for you. I guess I'll forgive you for getting no writing done. ;-) You know, now that you have my all excited about it.
