This is the first weekend in a good while I haven't brought work home with me. It's quite wonderful, considering that in a couple weeks, my weekends are just two more days to work until at least the middle of April.
So far this weekend, I have watched the two Netflix movies I've had sitting by my TV for probably two months now (oh yes, Netflix loves me); finished my Christmas shopping; worked out twice (something I haven't done in several weeks); and even done some reading for fun. And today, I plan to work out yet again - oh, how my body hurts all over - makes cookies for a cookie exchange tomorrow, and write my Christmas cards (finally). I think I'm ready for Christmas.
Oh! Last night the roomie and I exchanged Christmas gifts. She gave me Music and Lyrics on DVD, so we watched it. I have serious affection for that movie (and for Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore). I think I will now be humming "A Way Back Into Love" for the next several days. I must get my hands on that soundtrack.
And finally, one of the Netflix movies I watched was Knocked Up. I...kind of liked it. Like 40 Year Old Virgin, while parts of it made me cringe, I thought other parts of it were sweet, and I liked the overall message of the movie. Perhaps my favorite part? "You made Steve Carell look like an asshole. Congratulations! That's no small feat." So true! Hee.
