An Absolutely Pointless Complaint...

...but pointless or not, I'm going to make it. So, as some of you may know, I'm a BIG Gilmore Girls fan. I'm a TV buff. Unhealthy or not, I need TV. And ever since Buffy went bye-bye, the Gilmore Girls is pretty much all I've got (excluding my new-found love for Alias). Anyhoo, I flip by the TV Guide channel just a few minutes ago and notice they're doing a little blurb about the Gilmore Girls. So I stop and watch it.

Here's what annoyed me. The main character on the show is named Lorelai (pronounced Lor-e-lie). (She happens to be the lady that you can't really see in my LJ icon.) The lady commentating the blurb on the TV Guide channel keeps pronouncing Lorelai's name like Loralee. Several times in a row. You would think that (1) since it's the TV Guide channel they would strive for accuracy in pronouncing the names of characters on the TV shows they are talking about and (2) since there was another guy on the little blurb who was pronouncing Lorelai's name correctly, the lady commentating would have picked up on her error. Besides, does Lorelai look like it should really be pronounced Loralee? I think not.

Oh well. As I said, pointless. But annoying to me nonetheless. Oh, and on another note, I really don't want to go back to work tomorrow...
