I actually managed to accomplish everything that I wanted to do this weekend. That has not happened in forever. So I am feeling very good. Here are the things I did:
1) Worked.
2) Cleaned my bathroom and my bedroom.
3) Did two weeks' worth of laundry.
4) Finally moved my old dresser and nightstand that I've been storing in the guest bedroom down to my garage, with the help of
enigmaticblues. Now the guest bedroom will actually look like a room rather than a storage closet when her mom comes to visit later this week.
5) Made a sugar free dessert to take with me to my bible study's dinner tomorrow night. A couple of the guys in there are diabetic, so I wanted to make something we all could enjoy. It seems to have turned out very well.
6) I watched three of the five episodes on the hiatus viewing list over at
gg_watching as well. I might watch the other two before I go to bed tonight.
Speaking of
gg_watching, the community seems to be going over better than I could have imagined. We've got around 30 members, and lots of people have been participating in the episode discussions. I'm just having the best time with it. I love discussing Gilmore Girls, or any TV show that I love for that matter. So it's a blast. Plus, watching some old first and second season Gilmore Girls episodes has been rather cathartic for my sad JavaJunkie heart these days. I adore early L/L. Oh, and today I watched Christopher Returns, even though it's not on the list. I love that episode when watched in combination with That Damn Donna Reed Show. ( Look behind here for my thoughts )
What else? Oh, I'm so in trouble now that I've discovered the beauty of buying albums from iTunes. I tend to think, 'oh it's only $10.' But $10 here and $10 there adds up to a lot of money really quickly. Anyway, one of the albums I purchased and then proceeded to listen to on Saturday on my way home from work was Jack Johnson's Dreams album. I love this cd. His voice is so pretty and mellow. I just felt myself completely relaxing while listening to it. Plus, he's got some great lyrics. So yay for good music!
I also spent quite a bit of time on Friday and Saturday night being ridiculously silly with
shannigansx over AIM. This ended up in my not getting very much sleep because I have no willpower to go to bed early. But it was so much fun, I really don't care. I completely blame her from my renewed Farscape obsession. Somehow I've gone along being completely fine with not having yet seen seasons three and four for a couple of years now. But thanks to her and several videos she sent me over the weekend, I am now dying to see these two seasons. Dying. I actually headed on over to Amazon and purchased season three tonight for $27 (thanks to a $25 gift certificate). So I'm very excited. Now if only I didn't have to wait a month to get them. But the third collection does not come out until April 11, and it's not like I have any time to watch them between now and April 15 anyway.
OK, I think I've sufficiently rambled on now. I hope everyone had a good weekend! And here's hoping you all have excellent weeks!
