I don't take any credit for the following quote. I found it in a MySpace entry made on 11/10/07 by one Laura House. As per my usual daily routine of late, I was catching up over at pamie.com, and she linked to said MySpace entry. I was particularly moved by the following, as it puts into words the very reason why I always have and always will love TV (and movies and books, for that matter) so very much:
There's 26 letters of the alphabet, that's all, but people have found a way to craft those letters so we laugh and cry and learn truths and see ourselves and the world and grow up and feel silly--every emotion, every bit of information, every everything, gets communicated to us through those 26 letters and the people who use them well.
So, thank you, writers! Just like you, I hope this strike ends soon.
