Well, I hope now that school's done you can go see it!! I didn't first read the books until a couple years ago. My best friend/roomie has read them many, many times - so she bought me the series one year for Christmas. And she told me about the allegory prior to my reading them. Definitely give them a reread someday. Reading them and feeling the allegory is quite an experience!
